Started Pullets

2025 orders open Friday, November 29, 2024

All Live bird orders are pick-up only in East Concord, NY. All live bird pick-ups are by appointment only

Started pullets provide an opportunity to get a jump-start on your new flock or expansions to your current flock! Our pullets are between 8 – 12 weeks of age (most will be 9 weeks old), fully feathered out, and ready for life in the coop! We will have three main batches of pullets for 2025, which will be ready the second week of May, fourth week of May, and Mid-July. All flock dates below are listed by pick-up dates, which are Friday – Sunday.

No order minimum!

How ordering works: If you see anything below that makes your heart flutter, let us know by phone or email and we’ll reserve those pullets for you. We will schedule a date and time for pick-up at the time of your order placement. All pullet orders require a 25% non-refundable deposit.

This page is updated weekly on Sundays during pullet season (April – July) with any additional availability. We’re conservative with our advance availability estimates, so most of our updates will be within 1-2 weeks prior to the dates listed below. We also take wait-list requests.

---

All hatchery stock pullets are vaccinated for Marek’s at day of age, and this will be noted. The vaccine we use has no risk of causing Marek’s in mixed flocks consisting of vaccinated and unvaccinated birds.

Most of our Easter Eggers will be shades of blue/grey and brown/yellow. That said, we do have a wide variety of color patterns and unless otherwise requested, will choose a diversity of feather colors for your order.

Our started pullet flocks are grown out from either our own flocks or from hatchery stock. The hatcheries we purchase from as well as our farm are NPIP certified. This certification means that the breeder flocks meet strict biosecurity standards and are free of Salmonella Pullorum and Avian Influenza.

At this age, we are feeding a locally milled medicated chick starter/grower mash.
